Aquatic Therapy
An essential component of the Center's services, aquatic therapy offers an effective alternative exercise option for those individuals with limited mobility.  In water, a person's body weight is reduced, making it possible to achieve results unattainable with land-based exercises.
Our beautiful pool is kept at a therapeutic 92 degrees. Some of the many benefits of a heated pool program include increased range of motion, improved strength and increased muscle tone, better coordination, improved circulation, reduced arthritic pain, as well as weight control.
"Before starting the aquatic program, my son would scream and run in the opposite direction of a swimming pool. On our family vacation, he was petrified of the ocean.  Shortly after, I signed him up for the aquatic program.  I was very glad this program existed. A "regular" program would not work with my son. It took weeks to get him close to the water. I will never forget the day he went down the steps and into the pool all on his own. Today, he plays in the local pool and loves the ocean. He wants to spend all of our family vacations at the beach.

I found out about the Center completely by accident. However, the Center has greatly changed my son's life."
"My ability to walk has improved."
"This exercise has kept me out of a wheelchair! I have been able to maintain my independence and I'm less dependent on pain medications."
"The pool is fun, relaxing and helps keep my muscles loose."
